The structural stability of the component is very good, and the side return error is not. Some changes did occur, but this may have been caused by the method of the experiment or by the subtle mechanical deformation of the platinum wires during operation. The soft aluminum oxide powder provides some support for the platinum wires. Some similar elements have no fallback when using free-hanging coils, but they are not as stable as fully supported elements with platinum wires.
The component structure is used in some occasions of aviation or aerospace, where the stability is required. This element uses a platinum mandrel to minimize the strain of the platinum wire. The back error observed from this element is small and repeatable. The back difference is caused by the different expansion coefficients of insulating materials. The expansion coefficient of mica is larger than that of platinum, which is the reason for the reverse deviation. Some similar structures have also been designed, using insulating materials whose coefficients of expansion are closer to platinum.
