What is a stem thermometer used for?
A dial stem thermometer can easily be used in roasts, casseroles, and soups. It must be inserted sideways into thin foods like burgers, steaks, or chops. Use a thermometer to check the internal temperature of a food at, or near, the end of cooking time.
