Electromagnetic flowmeter is a flow measurement instrument widely used in industrial production and fluid measurement fields. Correct installation and regular maintenance are crucial for ensuring the accuracy and stability of the flow meter. Below will introduce some common problems in the installation and maintenance of electromagnetic flow meters, and provide solutions.
1. Installation location selection: The installation location of the electromagnetic flowmeter has an impact on the measurement results. It should be avoided to install in locations that interfere with the flow field, such as eddies and mixers. Ensure that the front and rear of the pipeline meet a minimum of 10 times the diameter of the pipeline without disturbance.
Solution: Choose a suitable installation location to avoid interference. If the requirements cannot be met, flow sensors can be installed in parallel or other suitable flow meters can be selected.
2. Ground flatness: The installation ground of the electromagnetic flowmeter needs to be flat and stable to prevent vibration of the instrument.
Solution: Ensure that the installation ground is flat and install brackets or vibration pads if necessary.
3. Cleanliness requirements: The inner wall of the pipeline should be clean to avoid impurities or sediment from affecting the measurement results.
Solution: Before installation, clean the inner wall of the pipeline and regularly clean it.
4. Sealing inspection: The sealing performance of electromagnetic flow meters has a critical impact on the measurement results, and attention should be paid to the inspection and maintenance of sealing performance.
Solution: Check and ensure that the seals are in good condition, and replace them if necessary.
5. Electrical connection: Correct electrical connection can ensure the normal operation of the electromagnetic flow meter.
Solution: Connect according to the electrical wiring diagram provided by the manufacturer, and regularly check the wiring at the connection point.
6. External electromagnetic interference: Electromagnetic flow meters are susceptible to external electromagnetic interference, which affects measurement stability.
Solution: Choose appropriate electromagnetic shielding measures, such as using shielded cables, enhancing shielding, or staying away from interference sources.
Maintenance: Electromagnetic flow meters require regular maintenance to ensure their long-term stable measurement performance.
Solution: Follow the maintenance manual provided by the manufacturer for regular maintenance, such as cleaning electrodes, calibration, and troubleshooting.
