When the pressure is applied, the diaphragm deflects and the deformation is transferred to a mechanical link that moves the indicator needle on the gauge. The readings are displayed in units of pressure such as PSI, Bar, kPa, or kg/cm².
The working principle of a diaphragm pressure gauge is based on the deformation of the elastic diaphragm under pressure.
