When installing the electromagnetic flowmeter, we can choose to install it horizontally, vertically and so on. Because the installation position will affect the accuracy and stability of the flowmeter, we need to understand the appropriate installation method before installation. Usually, you will choose horizontal installation, so I will introduce you to the choice of installation location.
Suggestions for the selection of the horizontal installation position of the electromagnetic flowmeter:
1. In order to facilitate the detection of the flowmeter, it is recommended to install a bypass channel for the flowmeter.
2. Requirements for the docking site: the sensor should have a good grounding, and the grounding resistance should be less than 10 ohms, so that the instrument can work reliably, and can also improve the measurement accuracy, and is not disturbed by the strong external electromagnetic field potential / The sensor has good ground.
3. Requirements for straight pipe section: Inlet/exit straight pipe section: the outlet should be ≥5×DN; the inlet should be ≥10×DN.
4. The flowmeter should be installed in the vertical upward position and the lower part of the horizontal pipeline, and avoid installing it in the vertical downward position and the high point of the pipeline.
Points to note when choosing the horizontal installation position of the electromagnetic flowmeter:
1. Choose a place where installation is convenient for maintenance and activities.
2. Try to avoid ferrous objects such as large transmitters, generators and equipment with strong electromagnetic fields.
3. The electromagnetic flowmeter should be installed at the back end of the pump, never on the suction side, and the valve should be installed on the downstream side of the flowmeter.
4. It should be installed in a dry and ventilated place as far as possible to avoid sun and rain. Avoid ambient temperatures higher than 60 degrees Celsius and relative humidity greater than 95%.
