Characteristics and advantages of PT100 temperature sensor
As a sensor widely used in fields such as household appliances, automobiles, and environmental monitoring, thermocouples can detect a wider temperature range (usually spanning several hundred degrees Celsius), and their resistance changes quickly with temperature changes, which is equivalent to having good fast response characteristics. And due to its simple structure and core principle of utilizing the temperature characteristics of the material, it is cheap and very sturdy, not easily damaged, and very easy to use.
But thermocouples are not entirely without drawbacks. Compared to RTDs and temperature sensors, the linear characteristics of thermocouples are not perfect, which means that the linear characteristics of most thermocouples are curves. Commonly used platinum thermocouples are already considered to have better linearity, and the signal level of thermocouples is very low. It is necessary to amplify the signal and ensure that the amplified signal is not distorted in order to read and retrieve data normally. There are already too many usage methods to learn from, and the related industries are also very complete, so its application scope is still very wide.
