Common Types
Magnetic float level meter: Using the buoyancy principle and magnetic coupling, the float moves up and down with the change of liquid level, and converts the liquid level signal into a visual or electrical signal output through a magnetic flap or magnetic sensor. Submersible level meter: Based on the principle that the static pressure of the measured liquid is proportional to the height of the liquid, an isolated diffused silicon sensitive element or a ceramic capacitor pressure sensitive sensor is used to convert the static pressure into an electrical signal, which is then converted into a standard electrical signal after temperature compensation and linear correction. Magnetostrictive level meter: The starting pulse is generated by the electronic circuit in the electronic compartment, and a rotating magnetic field is generated when it is transmitted in the waveguide wire. The magnetostrictive effect is generated when it meets the permanent magnetic field in the magnetic ring or float, causing the waveguide wire to twist, which is sensed by the energy pickup mechanism and converted into a current pulse. The time difference between the two pulses is calculated by the electronic circuit, thereby accurately measuring the displacement and liquid level being measured. It has the advantages of high precision, good stability, high reliability, diverse output signals, long service life, safety and reliability, etc. It is widely used in the monitoring, alarm and control of physical parameters such as liquid level, temperature, density, interface conditions in the fields of industrial process control, petroleum processing, pharmaceuticals, food processing, water treatment, gas stations, grinding machinery, valve opening control, etc.
Ultrasonic level meter: By measuring the time from the emission to the reception of the ultrasonic pulse, the distance from the sensor to the object to be measured is calculated, and then the liquid level height is obtained. Due to the non-contact measurement, the measured medium is almost unrestricted, and it can be widely used in the measurement of the height of various liquids and solid materials. It has high reliability, good stability, automatic power adjustment and temperature compensation. The sensor supports customization of various materials, which can meet various corrosive sites and has strong anti-interference ability.
Radar level meter: Using the radar transmission, reflection and reception working mode, the antenna emits electromagnetic waves, which are reflected by the surface of the object to be measured and received by the antenna. According to the relationship that the time from the emission to the reception of the electromagnetic wave is proportional to the distance to the liquid surface, the distance from the liquid surface to the radar antenna is calculated, thereby obtaining the liquid level of the liquid surface. In actual use, there are two types of radar level meters: frequency modulation continuous wave type and pulse wave type. The pulse wave radar level meter has low power consumption and can be powered by a two-wire 24vdc. It is easy to achieve intrinsic safety, high accuracy, and a wider range of applications.
Selection points
Measurement medium: Different level meters have different adaptability to the medium. For example, some level meters are suitable for clean liquids, while others are suitable for viscous, corrosive or liquids containing solid particles. When selecting a level meter, it is necessary to select a suitable level meter according to the physical and chemical properties of the measured medium to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the measurement.
