Bellows pressure gauges are devices used to measure absolute and differential pressure. The main element, the bellows, is a flexible membrane in the gauge whose expansion and contraction support the measurement of pressure difference in the system.
Description
Bellows Pressure Gauge
It is the diameter of the bellows that determines what force can be transmitted to the transmission mechanism. In order to have sufficient surface area for the pressure to act on, a larger diameter is selected for the measurement of very low pressures.
The Bellows Pressure gauge is more sensitive than the bourdon tube pressure gauge, thus, is especially useful for low-pressure applications, and to measure relative pressure in an application.
A bellows pressure gauge with two bellows is used for absolute and for differential pressure measurement. This type of differential bellows pressure gauge can come with internal heavy range springs which are useful when dealing with higher static pressures (up to 750 barg) with a high differential pressure measurement range.
