The Differential pressure gauge must be equipped with a balance valve (three manifold valve or five manifold valve ) to protect the normal operationof the differential pressure gauge .

Installation of differential pressure gauge with balance valve :

a. The differential pressure gauge and balance valve should be fastened with two lock nuts, and the sealing surface of the lock nut and differential pressure gauge joint should be sealed with additional gaskets . the balance valve is connected to the equipment system pipe line (there should be a valve to control air intake at the connection between the balance valve and the equipment pipeline ). And connect the interface to test for leaakage using a leak testing agent .

b. The differential pressure gauge equipped with a balance valve must firstly open the middle valve before use. an the high pressure and low pressure valves on both sides should be closed .

c. Firstly open the two inlet valves on the equipment pipe-line, and then slowly open the low pressure valve on the left side .when the pressure at the P-end enters the balance valve first, the open intermediate valve can balance the pressure inside the differential pressure gauge chamber to avoid damaging the differential pressure gauge . if the differential pressure gauge needle has a slight deviation from zero, it is a normal phenomenon, simply adjust the needle to the zero position.

d. Close the middle valve again, then slowly open the high pressure valve on the right, the pressure at the P+ end enters, and the differential pressure gauge begins work normally.
