Magnetic tank level indicator

Side-installation basic type water tank level indicator are made up of measuring body,dual-colored display cylinder, ruler, low flange,magnetic ball.Based on buoyance principle,the magnetic ball in the body of the level gauge is up or down with the liquid level changing and makes dual-colored turning to show the level of medium. Each cylinder is with two-color axisymmetric structures.The distance of two cylinders is 10mm. Red side of display cylinder indicates liquid and white side display cylinder indicates air. Besides measuring liquid level,it also could measure the interface of the two kinds of liquid.

Q:2.What are the disadvantages of the magnetic level indicator?

It would require recalibration if the liquid density changes.

There is a chance for foreign material build-up on the float.

It cannot be used for liquids containing magnetic particles.

Q:3.What is the magnetic level gauge used for?

The magnetic level gauge is ideally suited for measuring a liquid interface. Floats are available to meet a variety of specific gravities to suit the liquids being monitored - many manufacturers offer floats suitable for specific gravity ranges of 0.33-2.2.

Q:4.How does a magnetic float level sensor work?

The 'wet-side' magnet on the float repels the opposing magnet within the 'dry-side' switch mechanism in a strong snap movement, activating the switch. Similarly, when the liquid level drops in a tank the float pivots downwards, repelling the opposing magnet and activating the switch.

Q:5.What is the maximum length of magnetic level gauge?

Our magnetic level gauges are manufactured with the C to C and Visible Length requested by customers, up to approx 6,500 mm for level gauges having a stainless steel vertical chamber and up to approx 3,500 mm for level gauges having a vertical chamber in synthetic polymers.

Q:6Why would you need a magnetic level?

It makes it possible to attach a spirit level to a steel structure, which greatly facilitates measuring work when erecting fences or in welding workshops. The magnetic spirit level is also useful in plumbing and locksmith works.
